Alter State
The alterState attachment may apply a no-action transition to a task.
Only those alterState attachments matching an existing no-action transition are accepted, such as IP (planned) -> FX (fixed route) or FX (fixed route) -> IP (planed) or PL (plannable) -> OH (on hold) or OH (on hold) -> PL (plannable).
These alterState attachments can be used by ERP systems to fix the route for a task that is given to an external party outside of OMD to ensure that the task is not moved within OMD from that moment onwards. Another use-case is the change of a task which can not be executed yet due to missing material. This task can already be announced to OMD to allow the planner to preview the upcoming demand in the On Hold list. Once the material has arrived, the status can change into Plannable, allowing the planner (or algorithms) to take this task into account for planning.
